Annual Commitment
Membership in the community entails a one-year commitment which members
have the opportunity to renew each January. We maintain an “open hand”
policy, meaning that we are ready to “let go” and honor and love those
who feel they should practice other ways of connecting and journeying
into God. Members join and renew their commitments by completing and submitting the Commitment Form below. The commitment
statement which follows involves commitment to community as described
in our community document (“Who We Are,” “Core Values and Practices,”
and this annual commitment statement itself). The commitment presumes
that prospective members about to join have read the document and that
members renewing their commitment have reread it.COMMITMENT STATEMENT
Sharing the core values of this community and desiring to journey with this community in this way for one year, I commit myself both to growing in the contemplative core values of the community and to engaging in the community-making work of spiritual dialogue through the community blog by reading the blog weekly and by posting to the blog or commenting on posts by other members at least monthly. Through the open-hand policy of this community, I realize that I will graciously be released from this commitment if I notify the community of my decision.
